Name: Alyosha Linden Forst
(Ashling likes to call him Yoshie)

Just look at the sass on this boy's face.
The oldest of the Forst clan he is fantastic at BSing his way through anything. He always has some back handed sarcastic comment in his pocket and of his siblings he is the most expressive. Although he feigns most of his confidence and showmanship. He would rather be in a cool quiet bay with a small cabin and his books to read in the low candle light. But he knows he can't have that, not yet. So he takes nothing seriously in order to keep the dark at bay, because he of all people knows how deep the darkness really is.
He isn't the jester though. He likes to be in control of the situation, and his temper is not always cool.
His special skill is largely in the form of music. He can pick up most instruments and has a few songs he likes to play. Some he wrote, some he was taught a long time ago. On the trail he usually plays a tin whistle or an ocarina.
Name: Phineas Lamar Forst
Age: 18

Phineas is quiet. Not softer necessarily just quieter. He never had to fill a social void because Alyosha did that for him. Because of that he and Alyosha have a relationship of mutual respect and buried brotherly affection. Any outward affection of theirs for each other is poured into Ashling. He spends a large quantity of time in his head, plotting, dreaming, analyzing, who knows. He is very much the strategist and his unsaid catch phrase is "There was a better way to do that"
He was also born with a twisted foot, and so he usually walks with a cane and a limp. This deformity contributed a lot to the time spent inside of his head as he was never able to take up the physical responsibilities like Alyosha did. This of course leads to some issues but they have been dealt with by the siblings before although they will probably get brought up again when Phineas gets into one of his dark moods.
His brother and sister love him so they aren't 'concerned' per-say, but they both agree Phin would be a great evil mastermind and that he walks the line every day.
His special skills include languages. He has an ear for them, and is conversational in most base latin languages and Low german. He taught Ash some German and Alyosha some French so he can talk to them without the other knowing what about.
Name: Penelope Ashling Forst
(She goes by Ashling or Ash. Only call her Penelope if you are angry)
Age: 17
Ash has had to pick up a lot where Phineas was physically not able to hold up. So in a matter of responsibility she is top of her class so to speak. Obviously Phin feels guilty and because of that they tend to have long conversations about the nature of things and other philosophical topics. She was very independent from a very young age, and while she and Yoshie are bonded in the realm of the physical (appearance and humor mostly) she and Phin are bonded by thought. If she is fond of you she will joke around but for most people she is very no-nonsense. Had the world not gone to hell she would have been a forest spirit, racing around with no shoes and whisping up trees making friends with the birds, but alas she is mostly grounded. Only when she thinks there is a little free time will she close her eyes and whistle an old song.
Her special skill is with animals. She is good at reading them and she almost seems to talk to them when she whispers gently to them.
Stuff to know: I'm not sure about the father at this point (scandal!) so I gave them an old German last name. I originally had them a lot darker personalities (which will show up from time to time still I hope) but I saw the need for a bit of levity.
They are all very close even though their relationships with each other are a bit strained. Not much is unsaid between the three of them and I figure they would all take after their mother in their aversion of large gatherings of strangers and partial acquaintances. I may edit here and there seeing as I wrote this really late, but for the most part I think this is how I want the cookie to crumble.
