I believe it is time, my friends for us to begin another story. My mind is dizzy with possibility for a few mutant characters that are in the beta stage of conceptualization in my mind. So, what would the storyline be? Nim, I don't know terribly much about the X-Men universe, so I'm relying heavily on you for this. Meanwhile, I'm going to start reading X-Men Wiki and watching all the episodes of the cartoon series that I can on Netflix.

My old story line was that Xavier was dead and we were the "new generation."
BUT In a fairly recent comic that I am very fond of written by none other than Joss Wheadon, Xavier was merely away for some needed rest and solitude.

So I was thinking this new plot line could take place in two potential areas:
1. the school (Which is located in the rural area of New York) Is up and active being run by Senior X-men (of our own creation) whilst Xavier is away.
2. Or we could be a sister school set up in Europe, also run by Senior X-men but also a mutant head master(or mistress) of our own creation. This one isn't canon at all but it gets us out of the way of needed canon characters. Everyone hates having to play canon characters.

The plot...well the conflict could be anything. Most people are afraid/hate mutants so either the government could be the enemy, or a group of scientists stealing the mutant kids off the streets for experiments, or another more violent mutant group.
The setting defines the plot too...

I just realized how easy we have it in writing The Ragtag Adventures. We're writing in a setting that we are intimately familiar with and we get to examine more and more every day. Just today, I was looking in the Lyceum to see if I could find where the main switchboard was. I was thinking we wouldn't do the European sister school because I am in no way familiar with Europe. However, I realized I am equally as familiar with rural New York. The Ragtag Adventures has spoiled me. I'm not used to writing within unfamiliar settings.

All the same, I think we should probably go with New York. Because, you know, 'Merica. Not as many culture and/or language differences we would have to write our way around.

Bailey...I realize you haven't RPG'd with me on a site for very long, especially a site I sort of run. If there is one thing that makes me who I am when it comes to writing you could say I am the exact opposite of Anderson. That is to say I do mountains of research.
If and when we decide on a plot line and start to set these things up rest assured I will make a post, complete with pictures and commentary, regarding the setting and maybe even other tidbits.
So don't worry about being unfamiliar. You have 2 things going for you.
1. Its just Bethybabe and me so its totally cool if you saw the wrong place or what have you
and 2. My love of research and helpful pictures.
phew. Sorry. I just vomited words...
I agree with New York, I think that is good. Any figuring for the plot? What action ingredients shall we deep fry?

Well, I think we can all agree that nothing tastes better and clogs your arteries more than some good, old-fashioned, deep-fried MURDER… O.0

The scene? Othello bedroom *cough*sauwcy*cough* the deed? DEEP FRIED MURDUR

So...some one is found dead? A senior x-man perhaps? Maybe even a canon one although that may mean we would have to include other canon characters and I don't want to deal with that but at east maybe one would be dead...

We would have to start just a normal year at school (The school does actually function as a school) Maybe its the beginning of a semester, the Senior X-men are nervous/excited about the year seeing as they are in charge of the super hero thing and dealing with teaching the youths. Then one night some one is found dead and there is a threat and they all have to evacuate...I'm not sure where I'm going with this

Guys, reading plot bunnies while watching Les Mis is SO DRAMATIC.

Anyhow, I think things should definitely be normal for at least a couple of threads, kind of as a get to know you/get into the swing of things. The BAM dead body, hanging in the front hall where everyone can see. However, the person, who, according to the doctor who (see what I did there?) performed the autopsy, is a mutant, but nobody knows who he or she is. Not only this, but this mutant wasn't killed by asphyxiation or a broken neck, as hanging would suggest. Further lab tests show that this mutant was killed by a virus that was specifically designed to kill mutants, possibly of a jealous and fearful non-mutant's invention? So they put everyone exposed in quarantine and it starts killing a few people off, etc. Then they have to find someone who can help find a cure?

This is new (as of a year and a few months ago). I like it.

And I have NO IDEA where the plot bunny I previously posted came from so....
