I suspect we will keep the same characters, or I plan to at least, but I'm not sure how its laid out. I think we are dead, but the oldest of the kids is what 20? I think we should take the characters a re build the plot a bit. Thoughts?

Also for reference I thought I would make a list.

Emily's Children
Alyosha-19
Phineas-18
Ashling-17

Bailey's Children
Jace-18

Bethanney's Children
Charlie-18
Alaska Grace-18
(Twins)

Other people's kids who we may or may not use.

Koda's
Luke-17
Zelda-15

Jonathan's
Ezra-19
Zepporah-17
Gemariah (Gem)
& Ishmael-16
Jethro -15
Ava (she is deaf)-6

Ok. Maybe. I guess there wouldn't be many sub categories for that one. And there would be alot of plot planning in order to keep it going.

True, or we could also use the categories once we get to the compound?

This is also true. Ok, I see what you mean. I like it. Lets wait for Bailey and see what she says but I like that plot line.

Just came up with another question that we should ponder: when did the apocalypse start? Was it before they were born, during their childhood, or during their teen years?

I personally like the idea of it occurring late in their childhoods because then they can also deal with things not being how they were as they grew up. It gives opportunity for some chaotic and very apocalyptic flashbacks, as well as some that are sort of calm before the storm flashbacks.

Phineas looks like such a freaking outcast loner compared to your other two children! XD

But, I like the ideas we're throwing around here. Maybe some of us could be dead and maybe some of our children could just think that we're dead... Ooooh. Spoilers. And I also like what Bethanney just said about having the apocalypse happen late in their childhoods. Then, there can be a contrast between the oldest who knew what it was like to live in the before time and the youngest who have only ever known this.

Also, I think we could split this up into subcategories by having our children separate in the beginning. So, one would be about Nim's children's journey, one about Prestonney's children, one about my son, and so forth if we do decide to write about Dakota's and Jonathan's children. Man, that sounds creepy.

Now, let's get down to the nitty gritty. Who's daughter am I arranged marriaging my son to? He's a real looker…

Ohh. I like the split up part with the separate categories. Then, later we could just use those categories as "journals" for things our children want to record.

AVI LOOKS LIKE A YOUNGER VERSION OF LILY'S DAD FROM HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.

Hahahaha! Don't you know? That's how I like my men. The younger versions of unimportant characters in popular sitcoms. Yum yum.

Chancellor...is that person who is your son who I think it is? Because that is awesome you genius.
(Phineas looks that way because he is that way...he has a crippled leg and is also the youngest so he gets all the emotional baggage.)

I like the splitting up but then wouldn't we just be writing to ourselves for a bit? I guess that's ok but I wouldn't want to do that for very long.

I also like the time line thing, Maybe it started when the oldest were 5 ish?

Who is it?

Yeah, it wouldn't be fun for a really long time, but maybe for a few posts each?

I was thinking more along the lines of 7-8, that would be about 10 years so cities would be significantly decayed (yes, I watched that show about how earth would look after different apocalypses) and they'd remember a bit more....

Ok. I like 7-8. And the initial individual plots would give us time to map out our characters before tossing them all in together.
So what sort of sub category? One that just says "The Journey" or "First and Last Road Trip"

I like First and Last Road Trip, then the subcategories will just be the last names?

Yeah, that would be simple and best. Im excited. Alyosha and Ash will be super protective over Phin and its going to be so much fun.
I also remember I had this head cannon that all the kids could speak a handful of different languages including sign language because one of the littles was deaf, so I say they should each have a few random cool skills they picked up in order to survive or when they were bored.

But she can't hunt to save her life, so someone always has to go with her to catch a couple of rabbits or something for the meat in the meal?
